Devil’s Cave, 40 Oars Bay
We leave from the ancient port with a boat built in one of the most important shipyards of the district. You will admire all the Gulf with a singular and suggestive sight on several beauties of the medieval Gaeta: the Church of San Giovanni a Mare, the Saint Erasmus Cathedral, the Saint Francis Cathedral, the rests of the Bastions, the Church of Santissima Annunziata. We reach then Punta Stendardo, for sailing along the west side and seeing the ancient fortifications along the cliff edge, the Guarinelli Palace, and the Saint Domenico Church. We enter then in the blue oasis of Orlando Mountain with a low angle sight on the two Castles, Angioino and Aragonese, the cliffs, the Turkish Cave, the split mountain and finally Serapo’s Beach.
Once we reach Serapo’s Beach, we carry on sailing towards the Devil’s Cave and stop for swimming in the natural 40 Oars Bay.
